My ZZR1200/Hayabusa ECU Project

Her it is my Hayabusa / zzr1200 efi setup.

05 Hayabusa ecu being tuned with the ecu editor software, I was using a pc3usb and the yosh box.

03 Hayabusa wire harness, and handle bar switches.

One off main switch to harness interface.

All Hayabusa sensors, with the exception of the crank trigger witch is a stock zzr1200 part

Zx12r crank trigger wheel reworked and made adjustable to fit the zzr crank.

Custom cam trigger pen holder sorry no picture.

TRE because I have no gear position sensor only a neutral switch, this way the ecu sees neutral or 5th gear.

2002 gsxr 1000 42mm throttle bodies with the secondary butterflies removed, reracked to fit the zzrs manifold spacing.

Hayabusa / gsxr stock injectors

Custom air box.

99-2000 Hayabusa external fuel pump.

Hayabusa dash.

I have over 13,000 miles on it now.   It gets about 38 mpg at cruse and about 29 when redden very hard.

It pulls harder on top than my Keihin 41 fcrs, and has better low end than stock carbs, with a jet kit.

Innovate Motorsports

LC1

DL32 data logger

I have about   $1600.00 in the project.

 Sorry for the large picks.

YAG

It took me about 2 years with the Hayabusa ecu.

I machined all the custom parts myself.

There is a lot more to this than you would think at first !!

Very impressive !

How did you come up with the idea of pulling all that together ? There would have been easier ways.

I like a challenge.

I started the project with a different stand alone ecu from a company whose mane , I won't soil the pages of this forum with.angered.gif

I spent about a full year trying to make it work .

Sense the system was based on Suzuki fuel injection parts, and I already had most of them .

I thought why not do some testing and research and see if I could make the Hayabusa ecu work.

After about 2 months of testing and fabrication, on the crank and cam triggers.

I stated out running a cut down busa harness with just the efi stuff , in combination with the stock harness.

But I didn't like having 2 wire harnesses so I pulled them both out and modified a Hayabusa harness to work with my charging and lighting systems.

From then till the end of July I was tuning it with a pc3 and a yosh box,it worked ok that is until I found this website.

The tuning software on this site has opened a hole new world to my tuning.

Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If their is anything more I can do to help please let me know.
